STRONG-ARMING SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING
The chemical industry has somewhat of a bad reputation. People are often scared of it, think it's harmful to our health or that it pollutes our environment. And they're not always wrong. But chemical manufacturing is also neccesary to maintain our standard of living. It creates drugs that heal us, fertilizers that help feed us, electronics that entertain and connect us, and much, much more. Is there a way to mitigate the downsides and also keep all the benefits of our booming chemical industry? One of the answers might just be good old brute force...

MICROALGAE, TINY PILLARS OF AQUATIC LIFE
From light to life, photosynthesis builds the organic bricks at the foundation of ecosystems, and releases the oxygen we breath. How plants contribute to ecosystems and our daily life is under our eyes; much lesser known, I will introduce the diversity and contribution of microalgae.

HEATING UP SMART: INTELLIGENT THERMAL CONTROL FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
While electric vehicles are often praised for staying cool under pressure, staying warm is just as critical — and much trickier. From keeping batteries efficient in cold climates to ensuring passenger comfort without draining precious range, smart heating control is becoming a key engineering challenge. In this talk, we'll explore how control engineering is bringing brains to the heat game. We'll look at predictive heating strategies, energy-saving techniques, and why old-fashioned brute-force heating just doesn't cut it for modern EVs. Expect a lively journey through the control problems (and clever solutions) that are helping EVs survive and thrive when temperatures drop.
